Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to join its team supporting overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist with construction, maintenance and repairs under the supervision of a Foreman, contributing to safe and reliable power delivery.

The role involves outdoor work in various weather conditions, physical labor, and a willingness to travel and respond to outages or emergencies as needed. A valid drivers license (CDL within 60 days) and strict safety adherence are required.

Qualifications

• Valid drivers license and able to obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, emergency callouts, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and be on call during outages.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and understanding of insulated protective equipment.
• Inspect rubber goods and PPE and know when to wear PPE.
• Perform rigorous physical labor.
