Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC is seeking a Groundman to support our power grid projects. You will assist the crew in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems while prioritizing safety and efficiency. The role requires physical outdoor work and readiness for outages and on-call rotations.

Ideal candidates hold a valid driver's license and can obtain a CDL within 60 days, with willingness to travel and lift up to 50 pounds as needed.

Qualifications

• Must perform rigorous physical labor.
• Valid driver's license and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds and work outdoors.
• Available for outages, storms, and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assist in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and hardware.
• Maintain vehicles, equipment and PPE in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying weather and environmental conditions.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE usage and signaling.
