Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is hiring a Groundman to support construction and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will assist the crew with building, repairing, and maintaining infrastructure and report to the Foreman.

The role requires lifting up to 50 pounds, outdoor work in all weather, and willingness to travel and work overtime or on-call as needed. Safety PPE usage is mandatory to protect personnel.

Qualifications

• Valid Driver's License and ability to obtain CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/cushion/pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours, including weekends, holidays, and emergency callouts.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE usage.

Responsibilities

• Assist in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead distribution systems.
• Help install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools.
• Work outdoors in various weather conditions and environments.
• Participate in outages, storms, and on-call rotations.
• Inspect PPE and ensure proper use of PPE.
