Job summary

Pike Electric, LLC in Midland, Texas is seeking a Class A Lineman to build and repair overhead distribution lines with safety as the top priority. You may travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, as required by operational and customer needs, and report to the Foreman.

This role involves leading crews in the Foreman’s absence, training apprentices, and performing live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry materials up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead distribution systems.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators and conductors.
• Work live-line using approved gloves and hot-stick techniques and troubleshoot faults.
