Job summary

Pike Electric, Inc. is seeking a Class A Lineman to safely construct, repair, and maintain energized and de-energized overhead distribution systems. The role involves travel to various job sites, including out-of-state locations, with outage and emergency work as needed.

The position requires five years of overhead line experience, a valid CDL, and willingness to work extended hours, including weekends and holidays. A safety-focused mindset and ability to mentor crews are essential.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years of overhead line experience required.
• CDL license required.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/carry/pull up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended hours and out-of-state assignments.

Responsibilities

• Construct and repair overhead distribution systems safely.
• Lead crew in absence of supervisor and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Perform live-line work using approved gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow all safety protocols including PPE and insulated equipment usage.
• Operate and maintain bucket trucks and other overhead line gear.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and outages.
