Job summary

Pike Corporation in Fort Mill, SC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems with safety as a priority. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, travel to various job sites, and report to the Foreman.

The role requires climbing structures, operating bucket trucks and related equipment, willingness to work overtime, outages, storms, and be available for out-of-state assignments. CDL is required.

Qualifications

• Five years of overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/cushion/move materials up to 50 pounds.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Perform construction, maintenance and repair of overhead distribution systems with safety first.
• Lead crew in absence of person in charge; conduct pre-job safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead lines, poles, insulators, and conductors.
• Perform live-line work using insulated tools and proper PPE.
• Climb structures and work at heights with approved methods.
• Operate bucket trucks, digger derricks and other line equipment.
• Work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
