Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Class A Lineman to construct and repair overhead distribution systems. The role involves working on energized and de-energized lines, traveling to various job sites, and reporting to the Foreman.

The position emphasizes safety, with responsibilities including leading crews, training apprentices, and performing live-line work using approved techniques. Out-of-state travel and on-call rotations are common.

Qualifications

• Five years of recent overhead line experience.
• Valid Commercial Driver's License (CDL).
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift, carry, push, or pull materials and equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Work extended periods at various locations, including out-of-state assignments.
• Willing to work outside normal hours, including weekends, holidays, and overtime.

Responsibilities

• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems safely.
• Lead crew members in the absence of the Employee in Charge and conduct safety briefings.
• Train and mentor apprentices and groundmen.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Perform live-line work using gloving and hot-stick techniques.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements.
