Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in the United States is seeking an OHE Lineman B to assist Journeyman Lineman and Foreman while in training, performing construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, and equipment for electrical transmission and distribution.

This role emphasizes safety and learning the trade, with CDL Class A required and a high school diploma. OSHA 10 is preferred. It involves field work in varied weather as part of a leading infrastructure contractor.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 2 years of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical or power lines.
• Provide technical skills for operation and maintenance of reliable electrical services for consumers.
• Connect/disconnect, install, remove, and move electrical devices on customer facilities.
• Route or re-route power lines around existing lines and structures.
• Inspect and/or remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in carrying poles, digging holes, and setting/replacing poles.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
