Job summary

MasTec Utility Services offers an OHE Lineman A position focused on assisting journeyman linemen and foremen while in training. You will help construct, maintain, and inspect power lines and related equipment for electrical transmission and distribution.

The role requires a high school diploma, at least 1 year of lineman experience, and a valid Class A CDL. OSHA 10 is preferred. This is field-based with physical demands described in the job posting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.
• Preferred: 2+ years of lineman experience.
• OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical lines.
• Provide technical skills for operation and maintenance of reliable electrical services.
• Connect and disconnect electrical devices on customer facilities (transformers, regulator banks, switches, capacitors).
• Route or reroute power lines around existing lines and structures.
• Inspect and/or remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in carrying poles, digging holes, and setting/replacing poles.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Investigate consumer complaints and make repairs to energized lines as needed.
• Provide backup for Apprentice Lineman and assist in duties.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation on time.
