Job summary

MasTec Utility Services in the United States is seeking an OHE Lineman A to assist Journeyman Lineman and Foreman while in training. You will perform diversified work on poles, power lines, and equipment for electricity distribution, emphasizing safe practices and teamwork within the Line department.

The role involves constructing and maintaining lines, installing devices, driving bucket trucks, and supporting crew members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 3 years of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL required.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical lines.
• Provide technical skills for reliable electrical services to customers.
• Connect, disconnect, install, remove, move, and transfer electrical devices at customer facilities.
• Route or reroute power lines around existing structures.
• Inspect or remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in setting poles and carrying poles.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Assist in training apprentices and crew members.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation on time.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems on customer equipment.
• Drive bucket truck to jobsite and maintain truck stock.
• Investigate consumer complaints and perform repairs as needed.
• Perform other duties as required.
