MasTec Utility Services is seeking an OHE Lineman A to assist Journeyman Lineman and the Foreman while in training. The role focuses on construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, and equipment for electricity distribution, with emphasis on safe practices.

The position supports the Line team, requires working in various weather conditions, and offers hands-on training and growth opportunities within a dynamic utility services environment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Minimum 3 years of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL is required.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution lines.
• Provide technical skills for reliable electrical services, ensuring quality and timeliness.
• Connect, disconnect, install, remove, and move electrical devices on customer facilities.
• Route power lines around existing structures.
• Inspect and remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in setting or replacing poles, digging holes.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing.
• Train apprentices and crew members.
• Submit Apprentice Program documentation.
• Troubleshoot electrical problems on customer equipment.
• Drive bucket truck to jobsite and maintain truck stock.
• Investigate consumer complaints and repair energized lines.
• Perform other duties as required.
