Job summary

MasTec Utility Services is seeking an OHE Lineman A to assist Journeyman Lineman and the Foreman while in training and learning the trade. Responsible for performing diversified work related to the construction and maintenance of poles, power lines, auxiliary facilities, and equipment for the distribution of electricity.

The position requires a High school diploma, 3 years of lineman experience, and a valid Class A CDL. OSHA 10 certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years of lineman experience.
• Valid Class A CDL.
• OSHA 10 certification preferred.

Responsibilities

• Construct, maintain, and inspect transmission and distribution of electrical lines.
• Provide technical skills for operation and maintenance of reliable electrical services.
• Connect, disconnect, install, and remove electrical devices on customer facilities.
• Route or reroute power lines around existing structures.
• Inspect and remove damaged power lines.
• Assist in carrying poles, digging holes, and setting or replacing poles.
• Perform line switching or sectionalizing as directed.
• Assist in on-the-job training of apprentices and crew members.
