Job summary

The Groundman position at Pike Electric LLC is an entry-level role supporting the construction, repair and maintenance of overhead electrical distribution systems. You will work with a foreman to assist in building, repairing and maintaining lines, poles, insulators and related hardware.

This role emphasizes safety, outdoor work in varied weather, and the willingness to travel for out-of-state assignments. You must have a valid driver's license and be able to obtain a CDL within 60 days;

Qualifications

• Valid driver's license and CDL eligibility within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
• Able to work outdoors in varied weather and conditions.
• Willing to work overtime, weekends and on-call rotations.

Responsibilities

• Assist crew in building, repairing and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
• Perform new construction and maintenance on overhead lines, poles, insulators, and hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Follow safety protocols and PPE requirements at all times.
• Report to Foreman and cooperate with field team.
