Job summary

Pike Electric LLC is seeking a Groundman for overhead distribution work. You will assist the crew in constructing, repairing, and maintaining overhead power lines and related hardware while keeping safety as the top priority. Expect outdoor work in varying conditions and participation in outage or emergency callouts.

Responsibilities include equipment maintenance, adherence to PPE protocols, and willingness to travel. A valid license is required, with CDL obtainable within 60 days.

Responsibilities

• Assist team in building, repairing, and maintaining overhead electrical distribution systems.
• Perform new construction, maintain and repair overhead distribution systems.
• Install and repair overhead power lines, poles, insulators, conductors and related hardware.
• Maintain company vehicles, equipment and tools in good working order.
• Work outdoors in varying environmental conditions and extreme weather.
• Available to work outages, storms, emergencies including on call rotation.
• Follow safety protocols including PPE use and insulated protective equipment.
• Inspect PPE and understand when to wear it.
• Possess a valid driver's license and obtain a CDL within 60 days.
• Willing to travel long distances on short notice.
• Lift/cushion/pull up to 50 pounds and work extended hours/out-of-state assignments.
