Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC (5 Star) in Kentucky seeks an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class to join our field team. You will work on energized and de-energized lines, install and repair transformers, and support distribution construction projects.

Candidates must have four years of experience, a valid Class A CDL and the ability to pass background checks and a drug screen. OSHA 10 within 60 days is required, and you should be able to perform outdoor work in all weather.

Qualifications

• Four years of field experience required, or equivalent hours.
• Valid Class A CDL and current medical exam card required.
• Able to pass background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• Completion of OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
• Must be able to work outdoors in diverse terrain and weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Climb poles and perform strenuous duties in varying weather.
• Follow oral and written instructions; communicate effectively verbally and in writing.
• Operate service truck and read/dial data from meters.
• Digs holes and sets poles; string wires on new construction and repairs.
