Job summary

5 Star Electric, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Lineman – A Class to join our team in Kentucky. The role involves working energized and de-energized lines, climbing poles, and performing maintenance on distribution equipment.

Candidates must have four years of experience, a valid Class A CDL with a current medical card, and OSHA 10 certification. Background checks and drug screening are required; travel and overtime may be involved.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years of experience or equivalent hours.
• Must complete OSHA 10hr Safety Training within 60 days.
• Possession of, or ability to obtain, a valid State of Residence Driver License is required.
• Must have Valid Class A CDL and current medical examiner card.

Responsibilities

• Thorough knowledge of methods, practices and equipment of electrical line work.
• Climbs poles and performs strenuous duties in various weather conditions.
• Digs holes and sets poles for electrical lines.
• String wires on new construction or repair line breaks.
• Sets and connects transformers and other electrical distribution equipment.
• Responds to work orders for disconnections, reconnections and new orders.
