Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC is seeking an Overhead Distribution Apprentice Lineperson to assist in the construction and maintenance of overhead distribution lines and equipment. This entry-level role provides field training and exposure to utility construction practices in North Carolina.

The position offers competitive hourly compensation and benefits, with opportunities to work on diverse projects and gain hands-on experience in line construction and safety protocols.

Qualifications

• 1+ year(s) of trade experience or formal training.
• DOT medical card required within 90 days of employment.
• Valid Driver's License required.
• Pre-employment drug screen, background check, and/or MVR may be required.

Responsibilities

• Clears work area and maintains safe jobsite conditions.
• Assists with assembling material and working from the ground to be installed by lineperson.
• Climb wooden poles to help perform duties.
• Excavates to assist in the installation of structures or cable as required by contract specification.
• Communicate work to be performed with public and private property owners.
• Follow regional safety policies in all work activities.
• Operate tools (manual digging devices, wrenches, hammers, drills, come-alongs, jack hammer, power tamp, and handline).
• Work around energized parts or equipment.
• Wear hearing protection in noisy environments.
• All other duties as required by Supervisors.
