Job summary

Primoris Services Corporation in Raleigh, NC, is hiring an OH AP 4, Overhead Apprentice Level 4, to assist in the construction, maintenance, and repair of overhead electrical distribution and transmission lines under direct supervision.

This outdoor role emphasizes safety, learning from journey-level linemen, and hands-on experience with tools, equipment, and blueprints while contributing to reliable power delivery.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED required.
• Completion of Lineman Apprentice Level 3 strongly preferred.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physically demanding tasks.
• Valid CDL Class A with air brake endorsement required.
• Must pass pre-employment drug screen and physical.
• Willingness to travel and work away from home as project needs.

Responsibilities

• Assist journey-level linemen in overhead line construction, maintenance, and repair.
• Operate and maintain hand and power tools, bucket trucks, digger derricks, and wire pullers.
• Follow safety regulations including lockout/tagout and arc flash protection.
• Perform climbing activities on utility poles using approved safety equipment.
• Handle materials, load/unload trucks, and maintain a clean work area.
• Read schematics, blueprints, and work orders to understand requirements.
• Participate in daily job briefings and safety meetings.
• Communicate effectively with team members and supervisors.
• Be available for weather, overtime, and travel as needed.
