Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC in Burlington, NC is seeking an entry-level Overhead Distribution C Lineperson to install and maintain overhead distribution and transmission systems, including poles, cables, and electrical equipment.

The role covers setting poles, stringing wire, installing components, troubleshooting primary and secondary circuits, and ensuring daily tool inspection, safety, and professional communication with property owners.

Qualifications

• Must work with energized high voltage systems.
• Strong communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Ability to operate heavy equipment safely.
• Knowledge of proper sagging techniques.
• 1–2 years experience in electrical power line construction.
• Willingness to travel for out-of-state storm work.

Responsibilities

• Installing transformers, arrestors, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Setting poles and anchors, stringing overhead wire, and sagging correctly.
• Troubleshooting primary and secondary circuits.
• Replacing fuses and clearing faulted circuits.
• Communicating work to property owners professionally.
• Inspecting tools and equipment daily for safety.
• Maintaining and repairing overhead power systems as required.
