Job summary

Utility Lines Construction Services, LLC is seeking an experienced Overhead Distribution A Lineperson in Taylorsville, NC. The role involves setting poles, stringing overhead wires, installing transformers and switches, and performing maintenance on energized and de-energized lines.

Candidates must have 4+ years of electrical linework experience, be able to climb structures, and operate heavy equipment and related tools.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of electrical linework experience.
• Proof of work experience, schooling, and any certifications.
• Ability to work with energized high voltage systems.
• Ability to climb different structures with appropriate gear.
• Knowledge of operating and servicing required tools and equipment (bucket truck, digger derrick, tensioners, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Setting of poles and anchors. Stringing overhead wire.
• Installing transformers, lightning arrestors, cutouts, crossarms, insulators, switches, and switchgear.
• Performing new construction, maintenance, or repair work on energized/de-energized overhead lines with safety compliance.
• Troubleshooting issues with primary and secondary systems.
• Replacing cutout fuses and clearing faulted circuits and systems.
• Ensure daily testing and inspection of tools and equipment for safety and efficiency.
