Job summary

Brightpath Associates LLC seeks a Technical Service Manager to lead field execution for overhead crane systems in Lancaster, NY. You will mentor service technicians, solve complex electro-mechanical issues, and partner with operations to protect margins and customer satisfaction.

The role requires hands-on crane knowledge, 5+ years in crane service with 3+ years in a lead role, and strong communication to coordinate field crews, safety compliance, and project turnover from sales to service.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in overhead crane service and maintenance, with at least 3 years in a technical lead, supervisory, or service management role.
• Deep working knowledge of overhead crane systems, VFDs, motor controls, radio control systems, hoists, and power distribution.
• Solid foundation in crane inspection, maintenance, and testing standards (ASME B30, CMAA, OSHA).
• Education aligned to Electro-Mechanical tech or related discipline (Associate degree or technical diploma).
• Strong ability to manage customer relationships, write clear scopes of work, and coordinate field crews with leadership.

Responsibilities

• Mentor field technicians and provide technical guidance during complex diagnostics.
• Deliver ongoing field-level training on electrical, mechanical, and crane-automation systems.
• Join field rotation and respond to urgent service needs and after-hours requests as required.
• Collaborate with the Service Manager to dispatch technicians based on competency and project needs.
• Monitor job-site execution against labor hours and budgets; assist estimators with scope adjustments when needed.
• Define technical requirements for upgrades and support project turnovers to field teams.
