Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking an Overhaul & Repair Process Mechanic B for 2nd shift. This onsite role requires setting up and operating coating, heat treat, and braze processes to support overhaul and repair parts.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent is required.
• 1–3 years plasma coatings experience.
• Industry compliance and safety awareness.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate part treatment, heat treat, flame spray and coating equipment.
• Work on overhaul & repair parts with established methods and tooling.
• Perform braze fab prep, assembly and masking as required.
• Follow procedures for stripping, cleaning and braze fab operations with grit blasters, water jet and dry baking ovens.
• Set up and operate flame spray, plating, painting and coating equipment for various parts.
• Monitor heat treat furnaces for braze heat treat, stress relief and sizing operations.
• Assist others with new part process tryout and specialized tasks.
• Refer difficulties to leader/supervisor.
• May train for licenses and certifications within area of responsibility.
