Pratt & Whitney in Middletown, CT, is seeking an Assembly Technician/Mechanic for 2nd shift (Mon-Fri 3:12pm-11:59pm). The role involves following drawings, building engine subassemblies, and supporting test operations on gas turbine engines.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent & formal training achieving A&P license or equivalent OR 4 years of technical high school including technical post high school certification and 5+ years of heavy automotive experience.

Responsibilities

• Follow assembly drawings and specifications to prepare parts and build subassemblies for gas turbine engines.
• Assist with engine test operations and component tests as assigned.
• Overhaul engines, modules and related components per procedures and specs.
• Check parts for conformance and measure components to ensure dimensions.
• Use hand tools and fixtures to assemble engine sections and install details.
