Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in North Berwick, ME, is seeking a Bench Mechanic for the second shift (3:30pm–1:30am). You will perform pre-coating operations, surface prep, masking, and post-coating tasks on aerospace engine components, with opportunities to assist engineers and improve processes.

The role requires 0-1 years related experience or a related degree, and offers training and advancement in a state-of-the-art aerospace facility. OT and shift flexibility are expected.

Qualifications

• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• Basic computer skills.
• Flexibility around shifts, for training and to maintain workflow, including overtime.
• Ability to manage multiple competing priorities simultaneously.

Responsibilities

• Perform pre-coating operations from instructions and perform surface preparation and masking duties.
• Perform post coating tasks including removing parts from fixtures and troubleshooting equipment.
• Make minor repairs on coating equipment where applicable.
• Assist engineers in developing new or changed operations.
• Support department objectives and participate in training as needed.
