Job summary

Pratt & Whitney in East Hartford, CT is seeking an Overhaul & Repair Process Mechanic B for 2nd shift onsite. You will set up and operate various coating and heat treatment processes to support overhaul and repair parts.

Role requires HS Diploma and 1–3 years plasma coatings experience; internal candidates may be prioritized per bargaining agreements. The position is onsite and offers benefits as part of a manufacturing team.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 years of plasma coatings experience.

Responsibilities

• Plan and perform setup and operation of part treatment, heat treat, flame spray, and coating equipment.
• Work on overhaul and repair parts with established methods and available tooling.
• Perform braze fab prep, assembly and masking to meet unit needs.
• Follow procedures for striping, cleaning and braze fab operations with surface treatment equipment.
• Set up and operate flame spray, plating, painting, and coating equipment.
• Operate heat treat furnaces for braze heat treat, stress relief and sizing.
• Perform routine maintenance on spray units, guns, seals and filters.
• Support other technicians with new part process trials and repairs.
• Refer difficulties to leader or supervisor.
