Job summary

Dessert Holdings in Aurora, CO seeks an Oven Operator for our food manufacturing plant on 2nd shift (3:00 PM-3:00 AM). Wage $17.60/hr with benefits and opportunities for growth.

You will support production, follow GMPs, manage oven settings, and help uphold strict quality standards across our dessert brands. As part of a team, you’ll train with QA and production leads, ensure waste stays low, and maintain safety and allergen programs.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months to 1 year of experience in a food manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Ability to perform basic arithmetic (add/subtract/multiply/divide) in all units.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to process and operations improvement as part of the team.
• Follow GMPs, safety and work instructions.
• Advise supervisor/lead or QA inspector of quality or production issues.
• Maintain area cleanliness and perform regular housekeeping during the shift.
• Understand the company's food allergen program.
• Start up ovens and adjust flames, injector head and speed to meet quality.
• Perform changeovers with minimal downtime.
• Identify oven issues and notify lead/supervisor of changes.
• Train other oven operators on procedures.
• Maintain waste at 5% or less.
• Understand SPC and input data.
• Communicate quality issues to mixers, leads and QA.
• Troubleshoot and report product or machine failures immediately.
• Comply with all Steven Charles product quality standards and procedures.
• Support SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices to ensure safe, quality production.
