Job summary

Dessert Holdings Inc. is seeking a 2nd Shift Production Supervisor in Aurora, CO to oversee production, ensure food safety, and drive quality on assigned lines. You will apply SQF, HACCP and GMP standards while leading up to 80 team members and coordinating shift start-ups, changes and reporting.

Qualifications

• Prior supervisory experience.
• Good understanding of Quality Systems and familiarity with SQF, HACCP, and GMP practices.
• Good communication skills; bilingual English and Spanish preferred.
• Able to stay focused in a loud working environment.
• Must be able to work a flexible schedule and be willing to work overtime, including weekends if necessary.
• Must understand basic mathematical concepts.
• Must be able to work in a fast paced, team environment.
• Basic computer skills required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and provide direction to up to 80 people per shift, including managing rotations, training, and breaks.
• Train and coach production line employees to meet food safety, human safety and food quality standards.
• Understand how to safely operate all equipment within area of responsibility.
• Coordinate production startup, shutdown and changeovers.
• Keep overtime to a minimum unless approved by Production Manager.
• Report and track waste and identify ways to reduce waste and improve efficiency.
• Maintain production records and logs daily.
• Inspect and sign off on all production labels when needed.
• Demonstrate positive work ethic on the floor and in group settings.
• Maintain clean, safe work areas and GMP adherence.
• Supervise line per GMP policies and procedures.
• Ensure work meets specifications and instructions.
• Follow dress code and personal hygiene standards.
• Partner with Production Manager to schedule shift meetings.

Skills
