Job summary

Baker Tilly is seeking a Payroll Client Support Specialist to provide direct payroll consulting to our clients. You will gain depth in payroll practices and stay current on federal and state laws while independently managing client relationships with guidance from a Payroll Supervisor.

Responsibilities include ensuring payroll data accuracy, processing and reviewing payrolls, preparing earnings reports, and advancing service opportunities with clients.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in payroll processing.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct payroll client support and consulting.
• Understand payroll in depth and stay current on payroll practices and laws.
• Independently manage client relationships and escalate issues when needed.
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate within their payroll system and resolve discrepancies.
• Review and process payrolls timely, update employee records, and handle bonuses or severance as applicable.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Establish trusted client relationships and maintain confidentiality of employee data.
• Provide technical software support to clients and identify out-of-scope work and opportunities to expand services.
• Support implementation team and participate in new client projects.
• Train clients on payroll processes and share knowledge with colleagues.
