Job summary

Baker Tilly in the United States is seeking a payroll specialist to provide direct support and consulting to our payroll clients. You will understand payroll deeply and stay current on practices and laws to deliver accurate service under supervision while independently managing client relationships.

You will implement and train clients on payroll processes, support the implementation team, and help identify opportunities to expand services.

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Proficient with Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Ensure payroll data is accurate and discrepancies resolved.
• Process payrolls in a timely manner to meet client deadlines.
• Prepare reports of earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Establish trusted client relationships and maintain confidentiality.
• Provide technical software support and identify out-of-scope work.
• Assist the implementation team and manage new client projects.
• Train clients on payroll processes as necessary.
• Mentor new hires and share knowledge with colleagues.
