Job summary

Baker Tilly Advisory Group, LP is seeking a Payroll Client Services professional to provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients. You will understand payroll deeply, stay current on payroll laws, and independently manage client relationships under supervision, with escalation as needed.

You will resolve discrepancies, process payrolls on time, prepare earnings and tax reports, maintain confidentiality, and train clients on payroll processes while supporting implementation and team

Qualifications

• 2-year degree preferred or 2 years experience in lieu of degree.
• Experience with ADP software platforms desirable.
• Working knowledge of Outlook and Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Highly detail oriented and focused on accuracy.
• Strong organization and time management skills.
• Strong adaptability and multi-tasking skills.
• Ability to effectively work in a deadline driven environment serving multiple clients.
• Ability to provide exceptional client service.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills; appropriately and professionally communicates with all levels.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct support and consulting to payroll clients.
• Maintain knowledge of payroll practices and laws to better assist clients.
• Independently manage client relationships under Payroll Supervisor; escalate when needed.
• Ensure client payroll information is accurate and discrepancies are resolved.
• Process payrolls promptly, update records, calculate bonuses or severance, review tax calculations, and reconcile deposits.
• Prepare reports of employee earnings, taxes, deductions, and employer contributions.
• Establish trusted client relationships and maintain data confidentiality.
• Train clients on payroll processes as necessary.
• Be an additional resource to the implementation team; interview clients to understand payroll needs.
• Manage new client implementation projects and ensure timely completion.
• Be a resource to new hires and help build team capabilities.
• Maintain current knowledge of local, state, and federal payroll practices and laws.
