Job summary

SESC0 Lighting Inc. is seeking a Specification Sales professional in Morrisville, NC to develop and maintain accounts through expert lighting specification and service.

You will call on customers, build long-term relationships, and present lighting solutions while collaborating with internal teams. The ideal candidate has 3+ years in the lighting industry, a LC or related degree, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in the lighting industry.
• Experience in B2B sales and project quotations.
• Ability to develop professional customer presentations.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit or AGI32 is a plus.
• Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Call on customers and develop long-term accounts through expert service and lighting specification.
• Meet or exceed sales goals and make 3–5 new sales calls per day.
• Maintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expenses.
• Develop product presentations and assess customer needs for lighting specifications.
• Collaborate with management and manufacturing partners for training and product knowledge.
• Handle order entry, pricing, and basic project management tasks as needed.

Job description

The Opportunity: The primary responsibility of the Specification Sales position is to develop and maintain sales as well as a good working relationship with assigned accounts while working with all departments to facilitate follow-through on orders.

A successful Sales Rep will:

• Call on customers and develop long-term accounts through expert service and lighting specification, as well as relationship building
• Meet or exceed established sales goals, making at least 3-5 new sales calls per day
• Maintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expenses
• Make a minimum of 3 proactive, product presentations per week
• Develop quick rapport & quickly assess the customer's need and will identify the lighting specification for their project
• Will work with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to become an expert in all things lighting as well as other products available on the market today
• Understand all aspects of customer and sales service including but not limited to (order entry, returns, obtaining catalog numbers and pricing on replacement parts, some or all aspects of project management, etc.)
• Will have strong social skills, confidence, desire and ability to sell and most importantly, get the order
• Be passionate about working in team atmosphere and helping others
• Successfully complete all other duties assigned by Manager
• Education/Training: Degree or Lighting Certified (LC) preferred and at least 3 years of experience in the lighting industry
• Ability to develop presentations for customers and present in a professional manner
• Cognitive ability to learn and adapt
• Basic understanding of AutoCad, Revit, AGI32 preferred
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales environment and achieving sales goals/growth
• Must possess experience in project quotations
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license and good driving record
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and utilize internet search engines
