Job summary

SESCO Lighting, Inc. is seeking a Specification Sales professional to develop and maintain sales with assigned accounts while coordinating with all departments to ensure order follow-through.

The successful candidate will call on customers, build long-term relationships, and present lighting solutions. Experience in the lighting industry and the ability to manage project quotations are essential.

Qualifications

• Degree or Lighting Certified (LC) preferred; at least 3 years in the lighting industry.
• Proven B2B sales experience with growth/gnew accounts; capable of project quotations.
• Ability to develop customer presentations and deliver professional demonstrations.
• Valid driver license and reliable transportation; prepared for travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Call on customers and develop long-term accounts through lighting specification and relationship building.
• Meet or exceed sales goals; make 3–5 new sales calls per day.
• Maintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expenses.
• Give at least 3 product presentations per week to drive specifications and orders.
• Collaborate with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to stay expert in lighting products.

Job description

The Opportunity: The primary responsibility of the Specification Sales position is to develop and maintain sales as well as a good working relationship with assigned accounts while working with all departments to facilitate follow-through on orders.

A successful Sales Rep will:

• Call on customers and develop long-term accounts through expert service and lighting specification, as well as relationship building
• Meet or exceed established sales goals, making at least 3-5 new sales calls per day
• Maintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expenses
• Make a minimum of 3 proactive, product presentations per week
• Develop quick rapport & quickly assess the customer's need and will identify the lighting specification for their project
• Will work with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to become an expert in all things lighting as well as other products available on the market today
• Understand all aspects of customer and sales service including but not limited to (order entry, returns, obtaining catalog numbers and pricing on replacement parts, some or all aspects of project management, etc.)
• Will have strong social skills, confidence, desire and ability to sell and most importantly, get the order
• Be passionate about working in team atmosphere and helping others
• Successfully complete all other duties assigned by Manager
• Education/Training: Degree or Lighting Certified (LC) preferred and at least 3 years of experience in the lighting industry
• Ability to develop presentations for customers and present in a professional manner
• Cognitive ability to learn and adapt
• Basic understanding of AutoCad, Revit, AGI32 preferred
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales environment and achieving sales goals/growth
• Must possess experience in project quotations
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license and good driving record
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and utilize internet search engines
