Job summary

SE SCO Lighting, Inc. is seeking a Specification Sales professional to develop and maintain sales relationships with assigned accounts, coordinating with all departments to ensure orders are fulfilled.

You will call on customers, exceed sales goals, deliver lighting specifications, and present products regularly while building long-term partnerships. A degree or Lighting Certified (LC) and 3+ years in lighting preferred; strong software skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Degree or LC preferred with 3+ years in lighting.
• Ability to develop customer presentations and proposals.
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Proficiency in Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
• Familiar with AutoCad, Revit or AGI32 is a plus.

Responsibilities

Job description

The Opportunity: The primary responsibility of the Specification Sales position is to develop and maintain sales as well as a good working relationship with assigned accounts while working with all departments to facilitate follow-through on orders.

A successful Sales Rep will:

• Call on customers and develop long-term accounts through expert service and lighting specification, as well as relationship building
• Meet or exceed established sales goals, making at least 3-5 new sales calls per day
• Maintain profitability by meeting sales goals and managing expenses
• Make a minimum of 3 proactive, product presentations per week
• Develop quick rapport & quickly assess the customer's need and will identify the lighting specification for their project
• Will work with Management and Manufacturing Partners on training to become an expert in all things lighting as well as other products available on the market today
• Understand all aspects of customer and sales service including but not limited to (order entry, returns, obtaining catalog numbers and pricing on replacement parts, some or all aspects of project management, etc.)
• Will have strong social skills, confidence, desire and ability to sell and most importantly, get the order
• Be passionate about working in team atmosphere and helping others
• Successfully complete all other duties assigned by Manager
• Education/Training: Degree or Lighting Certified (LC) preferred and at least 3 years of experience in the lighting industry
• Ability to develop presentations for customers and present in a professional manner
• Cognitive ability to learn and adapt
• Basic understanding of AutoCad, Revit, AGI32 preferred
• Demonstrated experience in B2B sales environment and achieving sales goals/growth
• Must possess experience in project quotations
• Must have reliable transportation, a valid driver license and good driving record
• Must be computer literate and proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint, and utilize internet search engines
