Job summary

Graybar is hiring an Outside Sales Representative to drive growth in our Indiana/Indianapolis market. You will develop new prospects, maintain relationships with existing customers, and visit customer sites regularly to promote products and services.

The role emphasizes meeting sales targets, handling complaints, and maintaining records, with travel required to visit customers and attend events. Compensation includes a base pay with potential incentives based on performance.

Qualifications

• 3+ years industry-specific experience required; 4+ years preferred.
• Knowledge of business administration, sales, and marketing.
• Negotiation skills and the ability to learn the business and work independently.

Responsibilities

• Meet or exceed annual gross margin budget by promoting and selling products in the assigned territory.
• Handle customer complaints promptly and report potential claims.
• Maintain current customer records and assist in collections.
• Carry out sales programs and stock recommendations; participate in trainings, trade shows and meetings.
• Demonstrate products after sale when necessary.
