Job summary

Rexel USA is hiring a Commercial Outside Sales Representative for Modesto, CA. The role focuses on growing profitable sales by building high-quality customer relationships, leveraging digital tools, and promoting Rexel product solutions across new and existing accounts.

You will collaborate with leadership and suppliers to plan sales strategies, assist customers with product selection, and maintain strong communication throughout the purchasing lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of sales or electrical industry experience.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• High School or GED - Required.

Responsibilities

• Sell, market, promote, and demonstrate products. Effectively communicate features and benefits.
• Increase business by generating sales to new customers and by selling additional products to existing customers.
• Collaborate with leadership, team members, and suppliers in planning, tracking, and implementing sales strategies and developing new markets
• Assist customers with product selection and application utilizing knowledge, internal specialists, as well as supplier representatives
• Establish and maintain customer relationships
• Learn and evaluate customer operations to tailor solutions to their objectives
• Coordinate quotations and provide ongoing communication throughout the purchasing lifecycle
• Work with management, credit, and customers to resolve payment issues promptly
• Gather and report market information to management
• Participate in professional development to improve selling skills and maintain product knowledge
• Maintain accurate records of sales calls and expenses
• Coordinate vendor introductions and product demonstrations
• Utilize digital tools and solutions to gain competitive advantage
• Perform other duties as assigned
