Job summary

ABC Supply is seeking talented Outside Sales Representatives to build relationships with contractor customers and promote our building products from the Raleigh area. You will deliver world-class service, leverage exclusive sales tools, and drive new business with a focus on profitability.

Ideal candidates have building materials or construction experience, reading blueprints, and a driver’s license with reliable transportation.

Qualifications

• Experience in building materials, lumberyard, or construction.
• Ability to perform take-offs and read construction blueprints.
• Purchasing experience preferred.
• Agility EPOS software experience a plus.
• College degree (Business, Sales or related field) or equivalent.
• Must have valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, pass MVR; vehicle insurance must meet company requirements.
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor.
• Superior time management and organization skills.
• Knowledge of building contractor processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Cultivate and manage customer relationships.
• Utilize sales reports to recognize sales opportunities in customer buying patterns.
• Make cold calls to prospective customers.
• Follow sales leads and schedule appointments with prospective customers.
• Follow up with customers and provide solutions when service concerns arise.
• Provide training to customers on various product lines and services.
• Assist customers in the credit application process.
• Connect with customers to ensure past due bills are paid and collect payments when necessary.
