Job summary

CrossCountry Mortgage, LLC is seeking an Outside Loan Originator to maintain an NMLS license and originate real estate loans in line with CCM guidelines. You will handle lead generation, foster agent relationships, and coordinate with processing and underwriting to resolve mortgage applications.

You will meet applicants, collect documentation, explain loan options, and seek referrals to grow CCM’s loan portfolio. The role emphasizes communication, compliance, and ongoing professional development.

Qualifications

• NMLS License required under the SAFE Act of 2008.
• Experience with retail product philosophy, policy, underwriting, procedures, documentation and systems.
• Experience proactively soliciting new business.
• Knowledge of mortgage products and programs.
• Excellent analytical skills to evaluate credit requests and trends.
• Advanced communication and collaboration skills.
• Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.

Responsibilities

• Source mortgage leads.
• Build relationships with real estate agents and other lead sources.
• Analyze potential loan markets and develop referral networks to locate prospects for loans.
• Market CCM products to individuals and firms, promoting CCM services that may meet customers’ needs.
• Meet with applicants to obtain information for loan applications and answer questions about the process.
• Analyze applicants’ financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loans.
• Explain loan types and credit options, as well as terms of services.
• Generate complete loan applications with documentation.
• Improve loan applications by informing the applicant of additional requirements.
• Help customers by answering questions and responding to requests.
• Handle customer complaints and take action to resolve them.
• Own communication with real estate agents or referral sources.
• Confer with processing and underwriting to aid in resolving mortgage issues.
• Maintain knowledge by education, reading, networking, and professional involvement.
• Participate in mortgage sales activities like closings, open houses, trainings and seminars.
