UMBC seeks an Outreach and Business Coordinator to serve as the front door for the George and Betsy Sherman Center in Baltimore. You will coordinate outreach with alumni and community partners, onboard new employees, manage payroll audits, and execute Sherman Center events.

The Outreach and Business Coordinator will serve as a front door and a face for the George and Betsy Sherman Center, coordinating outreach with alumni, contacting community partners, connecting with potential Sherman Volunteers, onboarding new employees, conducting regular payroll audits and executing Sherman Center Events. This position will also support Sherman Center programs such as MECLP in growing operational capacity and facilitating on campus activities.
The George and Betsy Sherman Center is committed to excellence in Baltimore schools. Established by a visionary gift to UMBC from George and Betsy Sherman, the Center supports transformational education in four connected areas: Outstanding teaching, School Community Partnerships, Early Childhood Learning, and research. Encompassing programs include the Sherman Scholars Program, the Reach Together Tutoring Program, HIPPY, MECLP and other Sherman Center initiatives.

This position will support Sherman Center programs such as MECLP in growing operational capacity and facilitating on campus activities. This position will work closely with the Assistant Director for Operations to keep the center running smoothly.
UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $61,000 and has over 4 weeks of vacation for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

Salary: $61,000 - $69,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
