UMBC Athletics is seeking an Athletic Academic Advisor to provide academic counseling for assigned teams and assist in coordinating the tutorial program through the Academic Center for Student-Athletes. The advisor monitors academic progress, holds weekly meetings with student-athletes and coaches, creates weekly academic reports, and communicates with faculty to ensure NCAA eligibility.
The role also supports supervising peer tutors and recruitment/orientation of new student-athletes.

The Athletic Academic Advisor monitors the academic progress of assigned teams, including weekly meetings with student-athletes and coaching staff, creating weekly academic reports, and communicating with faculty, in addition to monitoring continuing eligibility to ensure students are meeting NCAA academic requirements. The Athletic Academic Advisor provides support in coordinating the tutorial program by assisting in supervising and training peer tutors.
UMBC offers competitive compensation. This role starts at $54,000 and has over 4 weeks of vacation for regular full time roles. Tuition remission is also available.

Salary: $54,000 - $61,000 depending on qualifications and experience.
The salary of the finalist(s) selected for this role will be set based on a variety of factors, including but not limited to, internal equity, budget, prior experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business considerations.
The above salary range represents the University’s good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
