Job summary

SimonMed is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular ultrasound exams. You will ensure diagnostically complete images, optimize quality, and review results before radiologist interpretation.

Ideal candidates bring ARDMS certification, 1–2 years of experience, and proficiency with PACS, RIS, and EMR. You will work independently in a fast-paced outpatient setting with a focus on patient care and professional growth.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required or registry-eligible with path to certification.
• Completed accredited diagnostic medical sonography program.
• 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred.
• Current BLS certification.
• State licensure current where required.
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems.
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge.
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment.
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff.
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development.
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture.

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular studies.
• Ensure image quality and diagnostic completeness before radiologist review.
• Manage own workflow in a high-volume outpatient setting.
• Maintain clean, stocked exam area and adhere to protocols.
• Educate patients with clear procedure explanations and comfort measures.
• Collaborate with radiologists and clinical staff to ensure accurate documentation.
