Job summary

SimonMed is seeking an Ultrasound Technologist to perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams including abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts and vascular studies. You will ensure clean, diagnostically complete images and review your work prior to radiologist read.

You will manage your workflow in a high-volume outpatient setting, maintain equipment readiness, and provide compassionate patient interaction.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty required — or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
• Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state licensure current where required
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Perform full spectrum ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN and vascular
• Own image quality and diagnostic completeness
• Review own work before radiologist review
• Maintain clean, stocked exam areas and self-manage workflow
• Explain procedures and ensure patient comfort and history accuracy
• Mentor students and contribute to QA and ongoing education
• Adapt to higher patient volumes and protocol shifts
• Participate in multi-specialty imaging and professional development
