Job summary

SimonMed is seeking a skilled Ultrasound Technologist to perform abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN, small parts, and vascular exams in a fast-paced outpatient environment. You will ensure high-quality imaging, optimize protocols, and document findings in real time while collaborating with radiologists and staff.

Ideal candidates have ARDMS certification, 1–2 years of experience, and strong communication skills to support patient care and mentorship of students within a collaborative team.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty is required or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
• Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 1–2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state licensure where required
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN across all three trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies
• Own the quality of every image produced and review work for diagnostic completeness
• Maintain and optimize scanning protocols and documentation in real time
• Operate and document using PACS, RIS, and EMR systems with radiologist collaboration
• Support departmental operations and mentor students or new staff
