SimonMed in Phoenix, AZ seeks a skilled ultrasound technologist to perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN across all trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies. You will own image quality, optimize protocols, and ensure diagnostic completeness before radiologists review.

The role emphasizes independent workflow, patient empathy, and QA contributions within a fast-paced outpatient setting with advanced technology.

Qualifications

• ARDMS certification in Abdomen, OB/GYN, or applicable specialty or registry-eligible with a clear path to certification
• Completed accredited Diagnostic Medical Sonography program
• 1-2 years of clinical ultrasound experience (general, OB/GYN, and/or vascular) preferred
• Current BLS certification
• Valid state licensure current (where required)
• Proficiency in ultrasound equipment and PACS, RIS, and EMR systems
• Strong image optimization and multi-specialty scanning protocol knowledge
• Ability to work independently in a high-volume outpatient environment
• Strong communication skills with patients, radiologists, and clinical staff
• Commitment to QA participation and ongoing professional development
• Willingness to mentor students and contribute to a positive clinical culture

Responsibilities

• Perform the full spectrum of ultrasound exams—abdominal, pelvic, OB/GYN across all three trimesters, small parts, and vascular studies
• Own the quality of every image produced; optimize protocols and review your work for diagnostic completeness
• Maintain a clean, stocked exam area and support departmental operations in a high-volume outpatient setting
• Explain procedures to patients and document clinical history accurately
• Mentor students and contribute to QA participation and continuing education
