Job summary

Trinity Health in Saint Francis Hospital seeks a Central Scheduler to manage scheduling outpatient diagnostic tests, assist with registration, and support billing workflows. This role reports to the Manager of Patient Access and requires clear communication with patients and staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• 2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred.
• Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required.
• Knowledge of medical terminology preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic testing appointments and provide testing requirements and instructions to patients.
• Interview patients to obtain and/or complete testing documents, medical case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms.
• Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, copiers, fax, and use of computer systems including database entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and other software applications.
• Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff.
