Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Scheduling Specialist to ensure timely appointment scheduling with accurate registration and insurance verification across our Mid-Atlantic facilities. You will manage complex testing schedules, identify patient financial responsibility, and coordinate with various departments to maximize patient flow and service delivery.

The role emphasizes accurate pre-registration, insurance checks, and effective communication to support a smooth patient experience from scheduling

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent. Some college preferred.
• 2–5 years scheduling experience in an acute care setting.
• Experience in complex facility-based ancillary testing across multiple facilities/states.
• Ability to schedule for multiple facilities with variants in protocols.
• Strong knowledge of third-party and government payer billing and reimbursement guidelines.
• Preferred NAHAM CHAA or AAHAM CRCS certification.

Responsibilities

• Schedule and register patients; verify insurance eligibility and patient responsibility.
• Coordinate complex diagnostic testing appointments across multiple facilities.
• Communicate scheduling instructions to service delivery areas to maximize patient flow and service.
• Initiate billing processes for services provided by Trinity Health facilities.
