Trinity Health in Hartford, CT is seeking a Central Scheduler to schedule outpatient diagnostic testing, assist with billing for reimbursement of services, and support the outpatient registration process.
The full-time day-shift role requires a high school diploma, 2 years of clerical medical experience, and at least 6 months of customer service; orientation includes two weeks of classroom time in Springfield, MA for colleagues within 50 miles.

Reporting to the Manager Patient Access, the Central Scheduler is responsible for scheduling outpatient diagnostic testing, assisting with the billing process for reimbursement of provided services, and assisting with the outpatient registration process.
Schedule and confirm patient diagnostic testing appointments and provide testing requirements and instructions to patients
Interview patients to obtain and/or complete testing documents, medical case histories, and forms such as intake and insurance forms
Operate office equipment such as voice mail messaging systems, copiers, fax, and use of computer systems including database entry, word processing, spreadsheets, and other software applications
Answer telephones and direct calls to appropriate staff
High School Diploma or equivalent required
2 years clerical experience in a medical field preferred
Minimum of 6 months customer service experience required
Knowledge of medical terminology preferred
40 Hours per Week - 1st shift (Days)
Mostly Mon-Fri but rotating half day Saturday (differentials apply)
Orientation first two weeks includes classroom time in Springfield, MA for colleagues living within 50 miles
