Job summary

White Mountain Regional Medical Center is seeking an Out-Patient Representative to join our non-clinical staff supporting registration and scheduling for surgical procedures, imaging and other services. Under the Manager of Patient Financial Services, you will coordinate outpatient care and help patients with location, appointment information and referrals.

This role requires a high school diploma and at least one year of healthcare experience; preferred are patient scheduling experience,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or Equivalent.
• 1 year experience in healthcare environment.
• Patient scheduling experience.
• Knowledge of health insurance benefits/coverage.
• EMR experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Register and schedule surgical procedures and other ancillary services.
• Coordinate patient care related to outpatient procedures.
• Provide patients with location and appointment information, physician referrals/authorization.
• Possibly exercise independent judgement in scheduling, preregistration and registration of patients.
