Qualifications

• Basic medical terminology is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Schedule patients for outpatient procedures.
• Register and pre-register patients for scheduled procedures.
• Register and verify ED patients.
• Update demographic information and witness signatures on forms.
• Verify insurance coverage and note under each account.
• Review registrations for errors and scan documents.
• Collect co-pays and/or deductibles when applicable.
• Prepare daily deposit and balance with the next shift.
• Provide relief on switchboard and assist with inquiries.
• Communicate with patients, physicians and hospital staff while following customer service policies.
