WVUH West Virginia University Hospitals is seeking a scheduling and registration professional to manage outpatient visit and procedure appointments across ambulatory clinics. You will collect prerequisite information, verify guarantor data, and coordinate with physicians’ offices to ensure accurate orders and scheduling.

The role emphasizes timely patient communication, adherence to guidelines, and daily task execution in a standard office environment.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• State criminal background check and Federal (if applicable) as required for regulated areas.
• Experience with scheduling and registration processes is a plus.

Responsabilités

• Obtain and verify patient guarantor information to keep records up-to-date.
• Schedule and register patients/customers according to guidelines and clinic requirements.
• Collect all information needed to schedule and register an appointment.
• Identify and communicate needs for scheduling modifications and development.
• Notify personnel of scheduling changes due to cancellations promptly.
• Respond to patient and staff needs and complaints within the patient-care environment.
• Consult with referring physician’s office to verify orders exist and obtain them as needed.
• Complete daily Workques and tasks in a timely fashion.
• Respond to all patient communications promptly.
• Escalate immediate needs to appropriate area when necessary.
