Job summary

Fresenius Medical Care is seeking an entry-level Registered Nurse to join the Outpatient CAP program. You will assess, plan, intervene, and evaluate care for an assigned group of dialysis patients, coordinating with RNs, LVNs/LPNs and Patient Care Technicians as needed.

As part of the End Stage Kidney Disease care team, you will participate in teaching, leadership activities, and quality improvement efforts while progressing through CAP requirements to advance your nursing career.

Qualifications

• Entry-level RN with less than 2 years in nephrology nursing.
• Chronic/acute hemodialysis experience preferred.
• Graduate of an accredited School of Nursing and state licensure required.

Responsibilities

• Performs essential functions under supervision and with guidance from Clinical Educator or RN leadership.
• Collects and analyzes patient data pre/during/post hemodialysis and documents in medical record.
• Educates patients and families about care plans and treatment options.
• Delivers safe, effective dialysis care in collaboration with the health care team.
• Administers medications per prescriptions or approved algorithms and documents justification.
